For appreciation and encouragement to academic or administrative faculties, few outstanding faculties are awarded by the Board of Directors every year. For the academic year of 2014, four faculties are selected for the Chairman’s Award: Chen Tsu-hui (Director of Extension Education), Dr. Kao Shi-huan (Department Head of Digital Content Design), Dr. Chuo Wei-chih (Department Head of Marketing and Logistics), and Dr. Chen Chun-wei (Department Head of Creative Product Design). Every award winner receives $50,000 NTD and a medal with a phrase “Significant Contribution to Ling Tung” from Chairman Chang Tian-chin. The medal is a circular glazed lazurite, which represents the Chinese philosophy of “diversity inclusion and understanding.” This award encourages wisdom, harmony, leadership, understanding, sympathy, integrity, humbleness, and enthusiasm to all faculties on their either academic or administrative fields. The Board of Directors is looking forward to develop a friendlier learning environment for students.
